VITTA conference
Thank you to all of the Schools, IT and e-learning staff who visited our stand at the 2008 VITTA conference
VITTA was a great opportunity for us to talk to many schools and discuss their specific requirements. It enabled a number of schools to highlight key areas that you felt either needed improvement, or required developing. Having now compiled this information we intend to focus solely on these key areas and develop an exciting range of new tools for you to use in 2009.
Not surprisingly, the most common request was to increase bandwidth capacity, which first and foremost will increase your speed to the internet, but will also address your burgeoning requirements for the expansion of E-Learning programs.
You spoke and we listened
You identified these key areas for us to focus on;
- Safe search - to provide facilities for students to use search engines which perform a safe search restricting inappropriate websites or material.
- Safe but not restrictive - to provide your school with more bandwidth and access to E-Learning Content and feature rich Websites.
- Blogs, Wiki’s, forums – to provide access to collaborative work environments for e-learning purposes.
- 3D and Multimedia content – to provide access to content rich websites.
- Access to e-learning content – for IT staff to be involved in assisting teachers to provide students with access to e-learning content and facilities, and moulding it to suite your schools local environments, including the Intranet.
- Class website monitoring – to give teachers and staff the ability to determine what websites students are accessing while classes are in progress.
This goes beyond providing a simple Internet connection, but with so many demands on your precious IT resource, isn’t it more important for your school Staff to deliver an effective up-to-date E-Learning Curriculum to your students? So let us deliver your internet requirements.
We have the ability and desire to assist Victorian Schools in delivering feature rich E-Learning content to students and staff. Free up your schools resources and talk to Brightsparks/Eftel today to see how we can help Shape your Schools E-Learning Landscape in 2009.
