VDSL2

VDSL2, changing the way you do business.

What is VDSL2?

Very High Speed Digital Subscriber Line 2 (VDSL2) is the most advanced DSL technology the world has to offer, providing performance which far outstrips ADSL and ADSL2+.

At a distance of 1.6 km from the exchange VDSL2 provides speeds similar to today's ADSL2+ technology. But as the distance from the exchange to the customer's premise decreases, the achievable connection speeds increase at a phenomenal rate. (See Graph 1)

At 1km from the exchange VDSL2 is capable of speeds upwards of 50Mbps and at 0.5 km of the exchange, VDSL2 delivers a data rate of up to 100 Mbps.

VDSL2 is the access technology proposed by both Telstra and the G9 for their Fibre to the Node (FTTN) networks. Our selected MSAN platform is well positioned to take advantage of these network developments as and when they occur.

Why Choose VDSL2?

In both performance and capability, the difference between ADSL and VDSL2 is as significant as the difference between ADSL and a 56k Dialup connection.

VDSL2 will have a dramatic influence on what your organisation can achieve. Previously exclusive functionality such as live video streaming, advanced data, VoIP and other video applications are now an affordable solution, set to become the industry standard.

VDSL2 is a synchronous service. This means upload speeds are equal to the download speeds. If your business has significant uploads, VDSL2 is a must have, and an absolute bargain when compared against the SHDSL alternatives.

Many big businesses are still paying hefty fees for leased lines. VDSL2 is fully capable of providing similar speeds at a fraction of the price.

Benefits of VDSL2

1. Quality

With speeds of 50mbps commonly available, VDSL2 is by far the highest quality DSL product available in Australia today. EFTel Corporate can tailor packages to your needs that take advantage of VDSLs capabilities to create total IP packages that increase the efficiency and functionality of your organisation.

2. Dependability

EFTel Corporate is bound by a Service Level Agreement of 99.9 per cent uptime. This indicates how our service will perform under a range of conditions. If there is an unscheduled outage, EFTel targets a one hour response time for reported faults, and a four hour maximum restoration target for all ‘On-Net' services. During the first 12 months of any DSL service, failure of any EFTel managed CPE will result in a new-for-old replacement. Furthermore, you can depend on the experience and knowledge of EFTel Corporate's customer service and technical support personnel to assist you quickly and effectively, should you require assistance.

3. Certainty

Wherever possible, businesses require certainty. When you order an EFTel Corporate service, you can be certain that your installation runs smoothly, accurately and efficiently. Highly trained technicians commission your service, end-to-end.

4. Availability

EFTel Corporate will be the first ISP to bring VDSL2 technology to Australia. Plans are currently underway to make VDSL2 available from 70 exchanges nationwide. To make sure your exchange is one of the first to get access to VDSL2, register your interest now.

5. Credibility

EFTel is recognised as one of Australia's largest Internet Service Providers (ISPs). EFTel serves over 140,000 active accounts Australia-wide. In addition, EFTel's wholesale division provides services to approximately one quarter of Australian ISPs.

6. Accountability

EFTel Corporate operates according to key performance indicators that are benchmarked against top industry standards. EFTel continues to develop in-house network monitoring capabilities and the constant improvement of real-time network performance, fault identification and fault rectification have been integral to EFTel Corporate since its inception. Some of these reports and functionality may be available with your particular solution. Ask your account manager for more information.

7. Value

Unfortunately, many businesses are being persuaded to accept consumer or residential-grade broadband, dressed up to look like a reliable business-grade service. However, in the business arena it is likely that you only get what you pay for. Choosing the lowest price for broadband invariably results in dissatisfaction.

EFTel Corporate can provide your business with a cost-effective broadband solution that complements your business needs, resulting in a compelling value proposition. EFTel Corporate can design a solution capable of saving you money, and increasing your revenue.
